Answer is A. Africans were brought to America as slaves. Europeans didn't have enough workers for plantation so that they could grow crops like sugar cane and cotton. Slaves were an easy way of making money for a long period of time. Textile factories weren't big at this time and they didn't need much of it. Africans knew nothing about jobs and unemployment. They traded goods instead of money. Also, the U.s and México had yet to become friends so D would not work
