The First Nations peoples influenced the environment in North America before the arrival of Europeans. In what is now the US and Canada, on the Great Plains, there was the buffalo hunt which affected the herd sizes but did not decimate them in the ensuing slaughter of them after colonization. In British Columbia, Canada, the First Nations harvested large red cedars for their lodges and dugout canoes, for example. In what is now Mexico, agriculture was practiced and the land cultivated for corn and beans especially before colonization.

Cloud [144]

Answer:

c. Believed he needed the support of Southern Democrats to pass his economic and social legislation

Explanation:

According to the historical records, President John F. Kennedy moved slowly in the area of racial justice because he "believed he needed the support of Southern Democrats to pass his economic and social legislation"

During the administration of John F. Kennedy, before his assassination in 1963, he wanted to effect so many changes in both domestic and foreign policies.

However, knowing that the Southern states most often do not support the elevation of people of color, and the fact that he needed the support of Southern Democrats to pass his economic and social legislation to make those policies a reality, he was slow in enacting Civil Right legislation so as not to anger the Southern states.

Which of the following are examples of Ronald Reagan's domestic philosophy and policies? A. Congress enacted the largest single
andreyandreev [35.5K]
If you can pick more than one, almost all of these are true (A, D, E). The ones that ARE NOT true would probably be: (B) Congress did not embark on a $1.6 trillion dollar expansion of the military, AFAIK. Military spending definitely rose, but the national debt rose by roughly that much due to the deficits created by the new budgets as a result of everything else -- not just the military. (C) is definitely not true, either; Reagan cut taxes for the highest tax tiers while closing loopholes, exemptions, and raising taxes on the lower tiers. If you were middle to lower class in terms of economics, you were hit.
