For your question, used the right triangle theorem.
3^2 + x^2 = 6^2
9 + x^2 = 36
x^2 = 27
So your answer is the sqrt of 27 units!

The Pythagorean theorem can be used to solve this.
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
a^2 + 3^2 = 6^2
a^2 + 9 = 36
a^2 = 27

The third side is the square root of 27
