After putting her to bed after their big conversation, what are August’s parting words to Lily as she stands in the doorway? Wha
ikadub [295]
August's parting words to Lily are, "There is nothing perfect. There is only life." I think this means that life is not perfect, and that you have to learn to accept the eb and flow of how things go. Things will not always how you want them to be, but you can always try to make the best of it.

Write a story that ends with the statement:I had never felt so embarrassed in my life.
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

Please find the story below

Explanation:

On a fateful Saturday morning, my classmates and I were getting ready to embark on a field trip with respect to one of our school courses. The trip was scheduled for 10a.m in the morning but we were around the departure venue early to avoid any form of rush. The school trip was preceded by a cultural event that took place the previous day.

The cultural event was organized by the class to celebrate our final year in high school. Different meals from different individual cultures were prepared and served that day. Everybody, including myself, ate to his/her satisfaction. Dancing and merrying soon followed. I was so eager to taste the source of the different aroma that filled the air that I forgot about maintaining the healthy state of my stomach.

In a nutshell, i ate different combinations of meal on that very day. This didn't affect my stomach that night, neither did it on the morning of our class trip. My stomach started rumbling on the bus, about halfway of our journey. It was so intense that I couldn't hold it any longer. I had no idea when I released fecal exudates on my body.

To crown it all, the bus we boarded had tyre issues on the way and we were forced to alight for a while. I secluded myself from the crowd, knowing my messed up state. When we got back on the bus, the feaces had started to smell all over. My classmates were covering their noses but couldn't fathom were the smell was coming from. I just sat there really quiet and hoping we'd alight soon. I had never felt so embarrassed in my life.

1. In Around the World in Eighty Days, Phileas Fogg makes an impulsive wager that he can travel around the world in eighty days
CaHeK987 [17]

Focusing on Passepartout’s perspective makes the story objective. Passepartout doesn’t have a personal bias or have anything to prove so he doesn't react impulsively or affectionately. (Greenleafable, Brainly)“Being much less cool-headed than Mr. Fogg, he was much more restless, counting and recounting the days passed over, uttering maledictions when the train stopped, and accusing it of sluggishness, and mentally blaming Mr. Fogg for not having bribed the engineer. The worthy fellow was ignorant that, while it was possible by such means to hasten the rate of a steamer, it could not be done on the railway.” This is a quote showing that the narrator is telling the story from third person, not Passepartou from first, thus giving the story a more real and relatable aspect to it.
