While Wellington (out west) and East Boynton Beach receive the same amount sunshine in a day. However, Wellington has higher ambient temperatures that East Boynton Beach, This is because oceanic water near the beach absorbs much of the heat hence keeping the ambient temperatures of East Boynton Beach a few degrees lower. It is important to note that water has a high heat capacity hence requires the absorption of much heat to have unit measure its temperature raised by one degree.

What was the control in the experiment?
Strike441 [17]

Plants grown in typical soil are the control.

Explanation:

The experiment is a process which includes the testing of effects several substances on a known event. Here in this experiment, the effect of salt concentration in soil on the plants are to be studied.

Control is a set of results that are kept for better verification of the results of the experiment. Here the control is kept in ideal or typical conditions and the effect on the plants are tallied with that of plants from experiment.

So the control here should be those plants which are grown in normal soil. Or soil of the environment where the plants are indigenous.

A ride at an amusement park moves the riders in a circle at a rate of 6.0 m/s. If the radius of the ride is 9.0 meters, what is
topjm [15]

4m/s²

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Velocity of the ride = 6m/s

radius of the ride = 9m

Unknown:

Acceleration of ride = ?

Solution:

We are going to solve this problem using the formula for centripetal acceleration:

     Centripetal acceleration = \frac{[tex]V^{2}}{r^{2}}[/tex]

V is the velocity

  r is the radius

   Centripetal acceleration = \frac{6^{2} }{9} = 4m/s²
