Which statements about geometric sequences are correct? Check all that apply. In a geometric sequence, the ratio between each of

the consecutive terms is the same, or constant.
Multiply the common ratio by the last term to extend a geometric sequence.
The sequence 2, 8, 32, 128, . . . is geometric.
The sequence 5, 10, 15, 20, . . . is geometric.
The sequence 3, 18, 108, 648, . . . is geometric.

Answer: the 1st & 3rd sequence is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

R=a2/a1

8/2=4

2*4=8

8*4=32

32*4=128

Same for the other sequence

10/5=2

5*2=10

10*2=20 therefore this is not a geometric

Last is 18/3=6

3*6=18

18*6=108

108*6= 648

GuDViN [60]

Answer:

A) 64 ways in sample space

B) 24 ways in sample space

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

- A bag contains 4 batteries

- We are to select 3 at random

Find:-

how many points will be in the sample space if the batteries are selected

A) with replacement

b) without replacement

Solution:-

- The counting principle says if there are "m" ways to do one thing

and "n" ways do do another, then there are (m*n) ways of doing both.

A. 4 ways to grab first battery;  put battery back;

   4 ways to grab second battery;  put battery back;

   4 ways to grab second battery

======================================

   4^3 =  64 ways in the sample space.

 ======================================

B. 4 ways to grab first battery; DON'T put battery back;  You are left with 3.

   3 ways to grab second battery; DON'T put battery back;  You are left with 2

   2 ways to grab third battery;

======================================

   4*3*2 = 24 ways in the sample space.

The formula y = mx + b sometimes appears with

different symbols.

For example, instead of x, we could use the

letter C. Instead of y, we could use the letter F.

Then the equation becomes

F = mC + b.

All temperature scales are related by linear

equations. For example, the temperature in

degrees Fahrenheit is a linear function of degrees Celsius.

Water freezes at: 0°C, 32°F

Water Boils at: 100°C, 212°F

Hope this helps!

The answer is choice C) All real numbers from 0 through 35.

The domain is the set of allowed inputs (x). The points on this graph have x coordinates that span from x = 0 to x = 35. Because x is time in minutes, we can have fractions of a minute (eg: x = 7.5 ---> 7 and a half minutes). So we won't just have integers.

kondor19780726 [428]
It should be 34/5*. If you create an improper fraction out of the original one, then creating the reciprocal will be easier.
