Henderson, Bruce. "Who Discovered the North Pole?" Smithsonian. Smithsonian Magazine, Apr. 2009. Web. 30 Jan. 2014.SimilaritiesBoth expeditions were eventually successful. Both took over a year to completeThe two expeditions had been financed by government. The Lewis and Clark expedition started in st. Louis 1804 and ended in St. louis 1806the expedition was led by Meriweather Lewis and he was appointed by president Jefferson to Explore the Louisiana purchase because hehad been the Presidents personal secretary. Meriweather chose his friend Williiam Clark to Co-lead the expedition because he was an expert mapmaker. The main objective of the expedition was to figure out if there was a Northwest passage (an all water route to Asia).the Lewis and Clark expedition was the first american expedition to explore the Louisiana purchase and created the first reliable map of the Louisiana territory. The North pole was discovered by Robert Perry although there was another man by the name of Fredrick Cook that claimed to have discovered it there is more evidence supporting Perrys claimThe North Pole was discovered in the year 1909. Robert Perrys' expedition started in Ellesmere Island with 50 men, 246 dogs and 19 sleds. There had been 5 previous attempts by perry to reach the North Pole but they all had failed. Robert Perry was an American explorer. during the expedition he had sent back his entire expedition team except for 4 natives and Matthew A. Henson. This Expedition differed from the North Pole expedition because. The land was bought by the U.S The expedition was appointed by the presidentThe first attempt to explore the Louisiana purchaseThe North pole Differed from the Corps expedition in many ways. There were previous attempts to explore the North PoleThe expedition was 100 years after the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The expedition was not in American territory.

Explain and analyze how two of the following were examples of the constitution as a living document that can effectively operate
sertanlavr [38]

Marbury VS Madison

John Marshall, in his decision, is in charge of pacifying the issue. Marshall argues, in short, that, in the hierarchy of laws, the US Constitution rules and the courts, as well as the other departments, are bound by it. Thus any law contrary to the Constitution should be declared void.

Thus, Marshall incidentally (incidentally) decides the unconstitutionality of Section 13 of the Judiciary Act, to the extent that it contravenes the precepts of the American Constitution. The unconstitutionality of a law was declared without the analysis of the merit itself. Note that Marshall, in making such a decision not on the merits, does not, in theory, give a favorable understanding to either of the poles, so as not to generate for him political conflicts with both parties.

The Whiskey Rebellion

It was a "tax protest" in the United States, beginning in 1791 and culminating in an insurrection in 1794. The rebellion took place primarily in Washington, Pennsylvania, in the Monongahela Valley during the presidency of George Washington under the command of the American revolutionary war veteran Major James McFarlane.

Why did people regard FDR's court-packing scheme as a threat to the
OlgaM077 [116]

Many people opposed FDR's court packing plan. Many people saw his move as a threat to the principle of separation of powers. People also accused the president of packing the court with people who supported his view. This completely made people not like this even more then they had before, although some people still did approve of FDR's packing plan. Eventually Roosevelt withdrew his plan after fighting for it for a long time, but he gave up.
