The cooked sweet potato has fibres in it. Some of the fibres are soluble in sweet potato i.e pectin. Other types of fibres are not soluble. Fibre would pass into the blood.

Another active ingredient of the sweet potato is the proteins. The proteins will be passed back into the blood.
