The risk of obsolescence has caused this problem. Technologies come and go. There is a whole lot of computer data out there stored in unreadable formats. Fortunately this is starting to become less of a problem as we move away from removable media and are putting data in the cloud.

for #5, you are correct that to come is not a prepositional phrase because there is no object. If I were you, I'd leave it alone and keep the one next it. all others look correct.
