Answer;

The small brain and large canines of Ardipithecus.

Charles Darwin hypothesized that bipedalism arose so that hominids would have two free hands to create and carry weapons. The fossil evidence that now refutes this hypothesis includes small brain and large canines of Ardipithecus.

Explanation;

Charles Darwin compared living humans to apes, and suggested our enormous brains and upright locomotion were linked.

He developed Hunting hypothesis, according to him;

- Bipedalism had freed the hands for carrying weapons.

- Intelligence increased; size of canines diminished.

-Tool production and use essential for development of human intelligence.

Fresh raspberry contains 80% water. dried raspberry contains only 20% water. what weight of dried raspberry can you get from 36
adell [148]

There 2 ways to solve this

1-      Directly :

80% of water in the fresh berries è 20% of water in the dried berries

36 Ibs of the fresh berries è X Ibs of the dried berries

X = \frac{36 * 20}{80} = 9 Ibs

2- If you do not understand the first method, the second one is more explicit:

First, we gonna calculate the weight of the berries without water (dehydrated):

36 * 80% = 28.8 Ibs    (of water in the berries)

Then:

36 – 28.8 = 7.2 Ibs (of completely dehydrated berries)

Next, we gonna add 20% of water in the dehydrated berries:

X (total weight of dried berries) è 100%

7.2 Ibs of dehydrated berries è 80%

X =   \frac{7.2 * 100}{80}   = 9 Ibs

Why are chromosomes most easily seen during cell division?
polet [3.4K]
Cytokinesis is when the cell pinches in 2 towards the end of meiosis and mitosis divisions. The chromsomes aren't as spread out and easy to see as during metaphase. Meiosis is the whole process of producing gametes and not a stage/phase of division. Mitosis is the whole process of cell division for growth and repair. Metaphase is a particular phase in mitosis and meiosis where the chromosomes have been duplicated and are contracted and visible.

How are muscles able to contract
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

Muscles contract through a chain process of electrochemical signalling between the nervous system and muscles.

Explanation:

The muscle contraction is initiated by the nervous system by sending a signal. This signal also referred to as action potential travel through the motor neuron. This motor neuron releases a chemical signal to muscle when the electrical signal carried by it reaches the neuromuscular junction (a junction where motor neuron meets the muscles).

The chemical message referred to as neurotransmitter binds to the receptors present on the muscle fibers. These receptors causes the influx of sodium ion which in turn trigger the release of calcium ion thereby initiating the contraction of muscles.
