First of all, fashion looked to manifest that the young generation that was about to enter the labor market was against the impositions of the older generations, therefore they decided to unfit the ideals and expectations the older generations had for the younger generation. Also, the music expressed their ideas, how they chose to follow their own instead of the ones the older generations wanted them to follow. They wanted a self-identity that was not biased and that influenced a world full of peace, love, and opportunities for everyone.
