This was caused by the emancipation declaration by Lincoln. Lincoln believed that the emancipation would weaken the confederation forces as it denied them manpower for the war. The emancipation was therefore a military strategy to defeat the south. the blacks therefore joined the union course serving in different cadres in the union army.

Early settlers in Mesopotamia started to gather in small villages and towns. As they learned how to irrigate land and grow crops on large farms, the towns grew bigger. Eventually these towns became large cities. New inventions such as government and writing were formed to help keep order in the cities.
