The ability to harvest fossil fuel was easier during the Industrial Revolution. This is because there was a need of fossil fuel at that time and because of  this need fossil fuels were harvested. The introduction of machines also helped in the harvesting of fossil fuel. The fuels such as petroleum, coal, crude oil were more into use in Industrial Revolution than before.
