Read Alexander Falconbridge's Account of the Slave Trade and answer one of the questions in a 4-5 sentence paragraph.
worty [1.4K]

According to Falconbridge's account of the Slave Trade, men were indeed treated differently than the women.

How were women treated?

As a diversion, women were given beads and jewelry. Workers were permitted to have se.xual relations with women. Women were housed in flats with fewer chains.

On the other hand, Men were handcuffed and herded into a single room. Women were not handcuffed and were kept in a separate room. The lads were not cuffed and were in a different room. All slaves were confined to separate cabins below deck.

Who is Falconbridge?

Alexander Falconbridge was a British surgeon who participated in four slave ship journeys between 1782 and 1787.

He eventually became an abolitionist and wrote An Account of the Slave Trade on the Coast of Africa in 1788.

What do you know about valence electrons? 2-3 sentence PLEASE HELP
slega [8]

valence electrons are electrons found in the outer shell of an atom. these are electrons that participate in CHEMICAL BONDING. an atom will either give up its valence electrons, gain valence electrons from another atom, or share valence electrons with another atom.

these are the only types of electrons that participate in chemical bonding - since they live in the outer most shell of an electron. no other electrons in an atom can bond. that's why these electrons have their own name.

an atom will do whatever it can to reach its full octet of valence electrons. that that means is that an atom is most stable when it has 8 electrons in its outer shell (it's the most stable and strong that way); hence the name OCTET.

i hope this helps!

How did the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan contribute to the fall of the Soviet Union?
hodyreva [135]
The answer is '4'.
The Soviet economy crumbled further due to the heavy military cost of the invasion.
The U.S. provided financial support to push them out and shorten the conflict. The Red Army did suffer a loss of face but the collapse of the Soviet Union happened because military expenses drained their economy to such an extent that normal, everyday expenses could not be met.
