Answer:

1/10 or 0.1

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability of occurrence of any event = number of favorable event by total /number of occurrence of event.

For Sarah

Given Number of frames = 18

Number of strikes made by her = 5

Therefore by using the above formula to get the probability of striking by Sarah will be 5/18.

__________________________________________________

For David

Given Number of frames = 25

Number of strikes made by him = 9

Therefore by using the above formula to get the probability of striking by David will be 9/25.

__________________________________________________

Since the event of Sarah and David are mutually independent i.e occurrence of one event does not impact the occurrence of other event.

Probability of occurrence of two mutually independent A and B event with Probability P(A) and Probability P(B) is given by P(A) * P(B).

Therefore probability that they both get a strike on their next frame are mutually independent event with probability 5/18 and 9/25 will be calculated by 5/18 * 9/25 = 1/(2*5) = 1/10.

Farmer Ed has 550 meters of fencing, and wants to enclose a rectangular plot that borders on a river. If Farmer Ed does not fenc
ss7ja [257]
Let width of the rectangular plot be x meters

then total of widths = 2x
and the length would be (550 - 2x) meters.

so the area = x(550 - 2x)  = 550x - 2x^2

to find the maximum are find the derivative and equate to zero:-

f'(x) =  550 - 4x = 0
x = 550/4 =  137.5 meters = width

length = 550 - 2(137.5) = 275

Maximum area  is when width = 137.5m and length = 275m

Emma uses a 250 meters roll of crepe paper to make steamers how many dekameters of crepe paper does Emma use
Ksivusya [100]
The  dekameter (or decameter) first needs to be a translated into how many the meters. deka means 10, so a dekameter it must be 10 meters. So we have to divide 250 by 10, and then we will come up with 25 dekameters.
hope that helps!!
