Michael and Crystal took college algebra together last semester. They would hang out and chat after class. Crystal started to follow Michael on social media. At first, she would leave a few comments and likes, but then she started sending him about ten messages a day. Every time Michael signed into Instagram, he would find a private message from Crystal saying things like, “We should go out sometime”. Michael tried to be polite. He tried to tell her he was not interested. He even made up a story about having a girlfriend so that Crystal would get the hint. One day, Michael had enough and finally asked Crystal to stop messaging him. However, Crystal kept sending him text messages and snaps. Michael also realized that she was also showing up outside of his classrooms. It made him feel very uncomfortable.
