several emergent properties of water contribute to the suitability of the envirornment for life. in a short essay
yulyashka [42]

There is no doubt in saying that the several emergent properties of water are responsible to contribute to the suitability of the environment for life.

If we look through the history of life on earth, it first birthed in water, the first living dwellings appeared in water and with time moved to land. With that said, it also true that the formation of the atmosphere was only due to the water that cooled the hot boll of magma today known as earth.

Water is versatile, as we all know, it is the only suitable liquid to quench the thirst and even our body fluids are 70 percent water. The life today without water is unimaginable, it serves as the liquid with the highest value of dielectric constant, dissolving every polar substance in it.

Such a valuable resource should be protected and preserved at any cost for the sustainability of all life forms on earth and not just humans.

In the passage, why does Krakauer describe the picture that McCandless takes of himself?
pishuonlain [190]

To illustrate that the list that McCandless had made was supported by actions as well as words, as shown in option D.

What is the effect of this description?

 • It increases the reader's feelings about the characters' intentions.
 • It optimizes the understanding of McCandess' image.
 • Characterizes the characters indirectly.

When Krakauer describes McCandless's image of himself, he promotes a greater understanding of McCandless's list and shows himself as a character who likes to analyze the actions of others very accurately. It also shows that McCandless is a very proactive character who speaks and acts on his words.

This attitude is efficient to explain the characters and indirectly characterizes them.
