Mathematics

1) Converting true bearing to quadrant:
   a) 140 degrees.
       Taking North as origin, it would be:
         E50S
       So, final answer for this part is E50S

   b) 94 degrees
       Taking North as origin position, it would be: E04S
       So, final answer for this part is E04S

2) Converting to true-bearing:
   a) S50W = from north, it would be: 180+ 50 = 230 degrees
       So, 230 degrees is the answer.

   b) N15W = from north, in anti-clock wise direction (direction in which we usually calculate) would be: 360-15 = 345
       So, 345 degrees is the answer.

Hope this helps!

Why is 1 neither a prim number nor a composite number
Otrada [13]

Answer:

it is not a prim number because ONE is not greater than ONE and it is not composite because in that case you can not multiply or divide one by its self

Step-by-step explanation:

in order for a number to be prim you have to have it only be able to be multiplied by one to get the answer but it has to be greater than one. in order for a number to be composite it has to have at least one divisor other than one its self

hope it helps and happy studding

Butoxors [25]
The graph shows the solution of your equations is
.. (x, y) = (-6 2/3, -9 2/3)

The closest point to that of the choices offered is (-5, -7.2).

X km/h = y mph
3241004551 [841]
Let's first write down the equations which we will require to solve for this problem.

Equation No. 1 -
x km/h = y mph

Equation No. 2 -
8 km/h = 5 mph

First of all, we will make y the subject by calculating the km/h when mph = 1. We will accomplish this by dividing both sides by 5 as displayed below:

Equation No. 2 -
8 km/h = 5 mph
5 mph = 8 km/h
5 / 5 mph = 8 / 5 km/h
1 mph = 8 / 5 km/h

Through this, we have found out:

m = 8 / 5

We will use the y = mx formula in order to obtain our final equation. We will substitute the value given in the second equation into the formula.

y = mx
y = ( 8 / 5 ) x
