Why don't we actually use scientific notation in daily communication??

English

Daily communication is intended to be convenient and brief. By using scientific notation, it makes the other person have to think and understand the actual number instead of directly being provided with the information. This makes it harder for them to give a response as a part of regular communication. Hope that helps :)

How should this sentence be changed?
Monica [59]

Answer:

"Look at this fossil I bought at the gift shop,"

Explanation:

"It," causes the sentence to become a run-on, and therefore isn't grammatically correct. However, if the sentence said, "Look at this fossil I bought at the gift shop," then it would have no need to be changed, as it is a full sentence in itself with no run-on.

Nick carraway the great gatsby the pros and cons
DIA [1.3K]
This sounds like a great question to answer about the reliability of Nick as a narrator. On one hand, he seems to be a very honest character.  But, on the other hand, he will always have an innate bias based on his feeling towards certain characters and events.
