The plastic bag got dropped on the street by it’s owner.. It was windy that day, but the bag still wanted to have fun. So, he waited for the red light and walked across the street to the cafe, looked through the windows and saw everyone enjoying themselves. This made him happy, and he continued his walk down his local boulevard. As the day progressed, the wind got less strong and he was tired from walking all day, so leaned against a brick wall and rested.

If I were a thanksgiving turkey...

I would look for places to hide
I would listen for hunters
I would watch people pick other birds
I’d want to live to be very old
If I were a thanksgiving turkey...
I would smell very good on the kitchen table
I would taste yummy
I would be stuffed with lots of stuffing
I would wish that I could fly very high and very far away
I would dream to be an eagle instead of a turkey

What is more positive? pilgrimage or vacation?<br> for connotation purposes btw
hjlf

Answer:

I would choose pilgrimage because not only am I fulfilling Gods commands, I'm creating a credit in the hereafter.

If I got to Hawaii or like some random vacation, I'm only doing it for myself. Not for my soul, my physical health, my mental health or my spiritual health.

It just looks like a waste of time compared to pilgrimage. Of course, vacations are fun and all. But if you put pilgrimage and  vacation on a scale, pilgrimage should way more in your priorities.

Always put God first because satan will never care as much as Him.

Read the excerpt from Theodore Dreiser’s “My Brother Paul.” What narrative point of view does Dreiser use in this excerpt from the story?

"I had not seen my brother in three or four days, but after I had strolled a block or two up Broadway I encountered him. I have always thought that he had kept an eye on me and had really followed me; was looking, in short, to see what I would do As usual he was most smartly and comfortably dressed."

A. Second person

B. Third-person limited

C. First person

D. Third-person omniscient

The correct answer is C. First person.

Explanation

Explanation

In the narrative field, the first person refers to how one of the characters tells the story from his point of view. In this mode, the subjects I (singular) and we (plural) are used. According to the above, the previous fragment is written in the first person because whoever tells the story speaks of himself by saying "I had not seen my brother in three or four days ". According to the above, the correct answer is C. First person.
