Length x width x height
Take the bottom rectangle and find the volume then take the top rectangle and find the volume. The volume of the top rectangle is 5x2=10 so 10x4 =40 so the volume of the top triangle in 40. Now we have to find the volume of the bottom triangle. 3x7=21 then 21x4=84 so 84+40=124
So the volume of the irregular shape is 124.

A right cylinder has a diameter of 30 mm and a height of 30 mm, as shown.
Semmy [17]
"As shown" ? You have a picture to work with but you're not sharing it ?

Fortunately, the question includes all the information that's needed to answer it,
so I don't need to see the picture.

The volume of a cylinder is (pi) x (radius)² x (height) .

Radius = 1/2 of the diameter = 15 mm

Volume = (pi) x (15 mm)² x (30 mm) = 6,750 pi mm³ = 21,205.75 mm³ .

That's a correct answer, but the number is slightly awkward and inconvenient. Let's
change it to a bigger unit, so the number will be smaller and easier to carry around.

Remember that 10 mm = 1 cm

So (10 mm)³ = 1,000 mm³ = 1 cm³

and 21,205.75 mm³ = 21.20575 cm³

Sam drove for 2 hours at 45 mph. He has the same distance remaining. How fast should he drive to make his average speed 60 mph?
Goshia [24]
Speed (S) = Distance (D) / time (t)

First stretch

45 = D / 2

D = 45*2

D = 90 mp

How is the same distance:

Second stretch

S = 90 / t

Average speed (AS):

AS = (S1+S2) / 2

60 = [45+(90/t)] / 2

120 = 45+90/t

120-45 = 90/t

75 = 90/t

t = 90/75

t = 1,2 h

________________________

And now:

S = 90 / t

S = 90 / 1,2

S = 75 mph

What is an equation of the line that passes through the points (4,4) and (8.1)
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

 • y = - 3/4x + 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Use both points and find the slope:

 • m = (1 - 4) / (8 - 4) = - 3/4

Find the line, using point-slope form and point (4, 4):

 • y - 4 = - 3/4(x - 4)
 • y - 4 = - 3/4x + 3
 • y = - 3/4x + 7
