cos^2(x) = 1/2 + (1/2)cos(2x)

sin^2(x) = 1 - cos^2(x) = 1/2 - (1/2)cos(2x)

sin^2(x)cos^2(x)

= [1/2 - (1/2)cos(2x)][1/2 + (1/2)cos(2x)]

(a - b)(a + b) = a^2 - b^2

= (1/2)^2 - (1/2)^2[cos^2(2x)]

= 1/4 - (1/4)cos^2(2x)

= (1/4)[1 - cos^2(2x)]

= (1/4)[sin^2(2x)]

= (1/4)[1/2 - (1/2)cos(4x)]

= (1/4)(1/2)[1 - cos(4x)]

= (1/8)[1 - cos(4x)]

An element with mass 670 grams decays by 27.3% per minute. How much of the element is remaining after 9 minutes, to the nearest
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
There will be 38 grams remaining.

The equation would be of the form
y = a(1+r)ˣ, where a is the initial value, r is the rate as a decimal number, and x is the amount of time.  Using our values from the problem, we have:

y = 670(1-0.273)^9 = 670(0.727)^9 = 38

Write the equation of an exponential function that passes through the points (2,48) and (5,750).
Otrada [13]
Ok, so the function form is y = a * bx.
Substitute in the values:
750 = a * b5
and
48 = a * b2
Then divide the two equations:
750/ 48 = (a * b5) / (a * b2)
So:
15.625 = b3
Take the cube root of both sides:
2.5 = b
Now, substitue b into one of the equations (the one with 48 has smaller numbers and is easier to work with.)
48 = a * 2.52
Simplify.
48 = a * 6.25
Divide both sides by 6.25
7.68 = a
Now substitute in a and b to write the exponential function:
y = 7.68 * 2.5x

Whixh formula should be used to find the circumference of a circle?<br>
Andrej [43]
To calculate the circumference of a circle, multiply the diameter of the circle with π (pi). The circumference can also be calculated by multiplying 2×radius with pi (π=3.14).
