Ans.

When a yeast cell enters into meiotic cell division, the resulting daughter cells would contain half of the DNA as present in the parent yeast cell. This is because, meiosis results in formation of four daughter cells from a single parent cell and each cell has half of the amount of genetic material as present in parent cell. During meiosis, if a parent cell has 2n DNA, it would first doubles its DNA content (4n), then divides it equally to four daughter cells and thus, each cell contains half of DNA of parent (n).

Hence, the DNA content will become half when a yeast cell shows meiosis.
