Okay, this is the solution:

First you multiply the number 2 by everything contained in the bracket as shown below

2(x) + 2(2) =6x
2x + 4 = 6x

Next you group the like terms together that is, the x's by sending 2x to the other side of the = sign

4= 6x - 2x

Now that the like terms are grouped, we can now proceed to any arithmetic left ( -, +,...)

4= 4x

Finally we can find the x value by eliminating the 4 next to it through division as follows

4/4 = 4x/4

When the cancellation is done we will have our answer

x = 1/1
x = 1

2 (x+2) =6x
2x +4=6x
2x = 6x -4
2x -6x =-4
- 4x = -4
x = -4/-4
Thus, x=1

We have a right triangle that has am 8 meter and 21 meter leg .Find the hypotenuse
Serjik [45]

Answer:

hypotenuse is 22.47 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of both legs of a right angle triangle are 8m and 21 m

We need to find the hypotenuse

To find hypotenuse we use Pythagorean theorem

Hypotenuse is AC  and other two legs are AB  and BC

AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2

Hypotenuse ^2 = 8^2 + 21^2

hypotenuse = \sqrt{8^2 + 21^2}

= \sqrt{64 + 441}

= \sqrt{505}

= 22.47

So the length of the hypotenuse is 22.47 m
