Tides describe the regular rising and falling of ocean water. Tides are caused by (A) the gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon.

Explanation:

Tides refers  to the periodic rises and falls of large bodies of water.

Tides are caused by the gravitational attraction  between the Earth and the Moon.

The gravitational attraction of the moon causes the oceans to bulge out in the direction of the moon.

The Sun, the Moon, and Earth are in a straight line(Twice a Year ) and this results in  high tides . Weaker, or neap, tides happen when the Sun, the Moon, and Earth form an L-shape.

Tides exist because of the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun, but it also  varies depending on where the moon and sun are placed or located.  The Pull between the  moon and sun cause high tides in the ocean on opposite sides of the earth.

This is a perfect example of the power of the internet, where we have a country that is very far away and something happens in there and by using the internet you can visually see what is happening there in the exact same moment even though you may be on the total opposite side of the world.
