How can you determine whether a rational number will have a terminating or a repeating decimal
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

You can determine this by putting the rational numbers in decimal form.

Step-by-step explanation:

A rational number like 1/2 will have a terminating decimal answer = 0.5

A rational number like 7/11 will have a terminating decimal answer = 0.636 where 36 is repeating.

Answer the following answer this for me please I need help.
scoray [572]
Since the square root of 13 is something really weird (3.6055 something) and does not have a clear end or repeats, it is irrational. Solve for the number before assuming anything

Solve for: lim x>0- ((x+deltaX)^2+x+deltaX-(x^2+x))/deltaX
Alex Ar [27]
2(x + delta x) = 2x + 2 delta x
so on top you have 2x + 2 delta x - 2x
which is 2 delta x
the delta x cancels out and you are left with just 2

so the limit is 2

By what factor does the area change if one diagonal is doubled? Explain.
melisa1 [442]

The area of deltoid is defined by formula:

A=\dfrac{e\cdot f}{2}

Where e and f are diagonals.

If you were to double the size of either one. Let's say f. You would result with:

A=\dfrac{e\cdot2f}{2}=e\cdot f

Which means if either of diagonals double in length the area of deltoid will be twice as big as it was before.

Hope this helps.
