During WW I, Switzerland remained neutral despite having a strong military. Switzerland was one of the European country, where the country depended on tourism and Industrial. Switzerland required raw material from the neighboring countries to run their industries. During WW I Switzerland accepted refugees but refused to enter the war. Despite not being in the war, Switzerland was economically, socially, and politically affected.
He held this spot during the war before he became President of the US wich during the war they were not free so they could not have a leader so he was the Commander and Chief.
