How could you best describe the mood of this passage? Select one: lonely scary cheerful silly The forest at the edge of the town

was even more ominous at night. There wasn't a house or a store within two miles. So far, no one in Jake's class had been brave enough to explore it. "What was I thinking?" Jake murmured to himself, stopping suddenly when he heard approaching footsteps. Fear paralyzed him.

PLEASE I NEED YOU TO EXPLAIN THIS THOROUGHLY TO GET BRAINLIEST ANSWER! Explain the pun "well, bob it for me" from The Shakespear
liq [111]
As you said above, the word "bob" means fencing and you want to know how this can have a double meaning related to homophobes.
This is what I see the 2 meanings as:
1. fencing, as in taking out your fencing sword
2. take out your penis, as penis would be another word for sword in plays/books such as the one you're reading - this would be relating to gays if the convo was btwn 2 men

Which two of these excerpts from Homer’s Odyssey depict the gods’ involvement in mortal affairs?
Elan Coil [88]
I am pretty sure about the second excerpt, it directly shows gods' involvement in mortal affairs
Then thus Minerva in Laertes' ear:"Son of Arcesius, reverend warrior, hear!Jove and Jove's daughter first implore in prayer,Then, whirling high, discharge thy lance in air."
And I believe that the next correct answer is
“But, tell me who thou art? and what thy race?
Thy town, thy parents, and thy native place?
Or, if a merchant in pursuit of gain,
What port received thy vessel from the main?
Or comest thou single, or attend thy train?”
