For a solution to exist the x and y values must be equal at that point.

I'll solve both for y first (and there are other ways to do this of course)

2x+4y=1, 4y=1-2x, y=(1-2x)/4

3x-5y=7, -5y=7-3x, y=(3x-7)/5

Since y=y at the solution point we can say:

(1-2x)/4=(3x-7)/5  cross multiplying...

5-10x=12x-28

-22x=-33

x=3/2 or if you prefer 1.5, now we can solve for y using either origianl equation...

2(1.5)+4y=1

3+4y=1

4y=-2

y=-0.5

So the solution is the point (1.5, -0.5)

<h2>The value of x is  always grater than 4.</h2><h3>Therefore x = (4,∞)</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

5x+ 2 >3x+10

⇔5x - 3x >10-2

⇔2x > 8

⇔x > 4

Answer:

  • <u>115 dB</u>

Explanation:

<u>1. Given equation:</u>

\beta =10log(\frac{I}{I_0})\\\\ I_0=10^{-12}W/m^2

<u>2. Given intensity:</u>

I=0.315W/m^2

<u>3. Decibels</u>

\beta =10log(0.315/10^{-12})\\ \\ \beta =10log(315,000,000,000)\\ \\ \beta =10(11.498)=114.98\approx 115

I think it’s D. Each fraction strip represents a burger and they are cut into fourths to represent the 1/4 pound weight for each burger.
