(a+b)(c+d)=ac+ad+bc+bd\\\\(x+8)(x+3)=x\cdot x+3\cdot x+8\cdot x+8\cdot3\\\\=x^2+3x+8x+24=x^2+11x+24

Multiply everything in first bracket with the wats in the second so x*x = x^2 and x*3= 3x and 8*x=8x and 8*3= 24.
