Answer:

The number of nickels are 9.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume that the number of the nickels be n.

Let us assume that the number of the quarters be q.

As given

kyle has a total of 16 coins in his pocket.

Than the equation becomes

n + q = 16

As given

They have a total value of $2.20.

As

1 nickel = 0.05 dollars

1 quarters = 0.25 dollars

Than the equation becomes

0.05n + 0.25q = 2.20

As simplify the above

5n + 25q = 220

Than the equation becomes

n + q = 16 and 5n + 25q = 220

Multiply n + q = 16 by 5 and subtracted from 5n + 25q = 220 .

5n - 5n + 25q - 5q = 220 - 80

20q = 140

q = \frac{140}{20}

q = 7

Put in the equation n + q = 16 .

n + 7 = 16

n =  16 - 7

n = 9

Therefore the number of nickels are 9.

50 shells, 10 shark teeth

The 5:1 ratio gives us a repeating pattern using 6 items. How many times can we get 6 out of 60? 10. So the pattern will repeat itself 10 times. We will have 10 sets of 5 shells and 1 shark tooth.

10 x 5 = 50
10 x 1 = 10
50 + 10 = 60

rusak2 [61]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is written very poorly because it is hard to know what x represents, as well as the end equation. I have come to the conclusion that x represents the amount of days and the end equation represents the exact same equation given (as it asks to rewrite the equation)

So, it is obvious that only one equation matches the one given -- as (1.03)^7 is approximately 1.23, which is close enough to 1.25 (compared to the other options), D is our answer

A and B have both 1.25^7 = around 4.77 (480% ish), and C has 1.03^x, which is not very close to 1.25

Pls help i need to get this answer
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

(2,1)

(5,2.5)

(7,3.5)

Step-by-step explanation:

hello There!

We are given an equation and a couple of y values

So to find the x value we plug in the y value into the equation and solve for the x value

for y = 1

1 = x/2

step 1 multiply each side by 2

2x1=2

we're left with x = 2

so we can conclude that  when y = 1, x = 2

For y = 2.5

2.5 = x / 2

step 1 multiply each side by 2

2.5 * 2 = 5

we're left with x = 5

so we can conclude that when y = 2.5, x = 5

For y = 3.5

3.5 = x / 2

step 1 multiply each side by 2

3.5 x 2 = 7

we're left with x = 7

so we can conclude that when y = 3.5 , x = 7
