DNA
cac gtg gac tga gga cac ctc

This gives rise to the mRNA which is exactly like your DNA (except no T - switch to U) - I like to spread them out in 3's (easier for me)

mRNA
CAC GUG GAC UGA GGA CAC CUC

You need to use a codon table to match these to the amino acid - I will put the 3 letter code right under the mRNA

CAC GUG GAC UGA   GGA CAC CUC
HIS   VAL  ASP  STOP GLY  HIS  LEU

Obviously this stop codon in the middle of the gene is a mutation...and a bad one as this hemoglobin molecule will not be properly made - which the issue in sickle cell anemia!

A gram-negative cell wall consists of_________
omeli [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is D. A gram-negative cell wall consists of a thin layer of peptidoglycan surrounded by an outer membrane containing lipopolysaccharides.

Explanation:

Gram-negative bacteria are bacteria that do not retain the gentian violet dye during the Gram staining protocol.

During the Gram staining process, a contrast dye, usually safranin, is added after gentian violet, causing the Gram negative bacteria to stain pink or red. The contrast dye thus allows the visualization of Gram-negative bacteria which, because they have a thinner layer of peptidoglycans, cannot retain the gentian violet dye.

Its main feature is an endotoxin called lipopolysaccharide that causes pathogenicity and is responsible for its virulence.

Answer:

Too severe

Too prolonged

Acute in nature

Explanation:

Necrosis is can lead to death of a cell, it results from external damage to cell such a s diseases and infection.

Necrosis will not allow other cellular activities because its is acute, any cell affected by necrosis will die premature leading to stop of activities on the body part.

Necrosis is a prolonged sickness that takes a long time, it may require the removal of the dead cell for rejuvenation of new body cells.

Therefore, a damage to Because will not allow for cellular adaptation in that part of the body as it leads to the death of the cell.

Would you expect to find plantlike organisms below 1,000m in the ocean?
olga2289 [7]
No. Below 1000m the sunlight could not reach therefore plant like organism would not be able to grow there. However if the organism does not need sunlight then it might have a small chance of survival. Of course there also is the water pressure that can also pose a problem. So I say No.
