Cross bridges are formed during muscle contraction when _____ binds to _____.

Biology

Answer:

Cross bridges are formed during muscle contraction when actin binds to myosin.

Explanation:

Contraction of muscle allows shortening of muscles fibers.

The process of contraction begins when an action potential arrives at neurotranmitter junction (neuron binds to muscle fiber). Acetylcholine (ACh) is released and the receptors recieved the signal which allows to open the sodium ion channel and results in action potentialin sarcolema. This triggers the release of calcium ion from sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR).

Muscle fiber are consiste of several fiber protein actin, myosin, tyrosin and troponin. Actin fiber binds to myosin and form a cross-bridge that allows the binding of calcium ion at myosin and generate ATP which causes contarction of muscle fiber.

Hence, when actin binds to myosin a crossbridge forms the ATP gneeration and causes contraction.

Spindle fibers extend from the poles and overlap at the ____________ where some attach to chromosomes to help separate them duri
Inga [223]

Spindle fibers extend from the poles and overlap at the spindle equator where some attach to chromosomes to help separate them during cell division.

What is spindle fiber?

A single filament that travels from the poles to the center is a spindle fiber. Aster is a single filament as well, but the aster differs in its placement.

What is spindle equator?

Chromosome alignment at the spindle equator improves the efficiency of bi-orientation. Chromosome congression, a procedure that moves chromosomes from close to spindle poles to the equator, is necessary for this alignment to take place.

What is spindle in cell?

A protein structure called a spindle fiber divides a cell's genetic material.

What observed reaction did the epinephrine have in the rate of blood flow in the arteriole and capillary?
lidiya [134]

Answer:

The epinephrine reaction is a decrease in the rate of blood flow in the arteriole and capillary, due to a phenomenon of vasoconstriction.

Explanation:

Epinephrine, or adrenaline, is a hormone produced by the adrenal cortex, which acts as a neurotransmitter for the sympathetic nervous system.

One of the effects of epinephrine is the vasoconstriction of blood vessels, predominantly arteries. Vasoconstriction of arterioles and closure of capillaries is an effect of epinephrine that results in a decrease in the rate of blood flow at that level.

This response can be seen when exogenous epinephrine is used to control an allergic or anaphylactic reaction, counteracting the vasodilation that characterizes these conditions.
