  '   | ˘ |   '   |  ˘  | '  |  ˘ | '  |   '     |  ˘ |  '  |  '  |  ˘  |    '
On  a  high hill far away stood an old rugged cross

When you're marking for scansion, the first place you want to look are two syllable words. Look at the word "away" and pronounce it two ways. First by emphasizing the first syllable and then flipping it. You should notice that one of the ways (the second) feels more natural. This should be the same with "rugged". Try to clap out the rhythm for each syllable to get a sense of which words feel most stressed or important.

Hi. From the context of your question, I believe you want to know the meaning of the word "dismal." So, I hope the answer below will help you.

Answer:

"Dismal" means rainy, dark, gloomy.

Explanation:

The word "dismal" releases the feeling that something unfavorable is happening. That's because, this word means that something is dark, downcast, dark and harmful. When this word is applied to the phrase presented in the question above, we can see that it refers to an unfavorable weather condition for playing soccer on the field. Think about the three forms of poetry you read: the lyric poems “Winter” and "The Rider," the concrete poem "Seal," and the haik
eimsori [14]
Hi, thank you for posting your question here at Brainly.

For me, the best way to communicate through poetry is through lyric poem. This is because it is much more personal in a way that it is written in the first person. The most important thing in communication is to set a connection between the reader and the writer. There's no better way than to talk to them directly to convey the message. The other two forms of poetry, haiku and concrete poetry, are quite simple and complicated, respectively.
