1.- Penisulares.

2.- Creoles.

3.- Mestizos and mulattoes.

4.- Africans and Native Americans.

Peninsulares were the people that were originally from Spain, the Iberian peninsula. Creoles were the people born in the New Spain of Spanish parents. Mestizos and mulattoes were people born from father or mother Spaniard and father or mother Indian. The bottom of the social class in New Spain were Africans and Native Americans.
