The battle of bunker hill considered a patriot victory because it is assumed that every single American soldier killed by two British soldiers is killed. Thus, it can be said that the number of British victims was double that of America, but Britain had won the battle.

EXPLANATION

The Battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts took place on June 17 in 1775 (the early days of the Revolutionary War of 1775-1783). Despite suffering many casualties, the colonial forces which had no battle experience succeeded in producing significant casualties from the enemy. The battle then gave them high confidence in facing the Siege of Boston from April 1775 to March 1776. Although often known as the Battle of Bunker Hill, most battles take place on Breed's Hill and its surroundings

England came out as the winner in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Breed's Hill and Charlestown Peninsula which fell absolutely in the hands of the British. Although the American Bunker Hill battle lost their strategic territory, the battle provided them with important lessons and experience that patriotic dedication could overcome British superior military strength. Although at that time their military capabilities were very minimal.

On the other hand, the precious victory at the Battle of Bunker Hill made England realize that the war with the colonies would be long, hard and costly.

The arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union began when
Alika [10]

Answer:

The Soviet Union developed its own atomic bomb.

Explanation:

Among the world leaders, the United States was the first to develop and even test out its nuclear weapon. The attack of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during the Second World War helped project the US as the most powerful power.

But the development of nuclear arms by the Soviet Union led to competition for the world power. The Soviets developed their own atomic bomb and tested its very first atomic bomb in 1949. This nuclear test codenamed "<em>RDS-1" or "First Lightning"</em> at the Semipalatinsk test site in what is now modern-day Kazakhstan led to the race for power especially between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Thus, the correct answer is the second option.
