Simple....

first set up an equation....

y=12x+120

Now there's two ways you can solve this plug n chug...or set them equal..

First we will plug n chug...

A.)26

y=12x+120

y=12(26)+120

y=312+120

y=432 (No)

B.)34

y=12x+120

y=12(34)+120

y=408+120

y=528 (No)

C.)44

y=12(44)+120

y=528+120

y=648 (No)

D.)24

y=12x+120

y=12(24)+120

y=288+120

y=408 (Yes)

The other way is setting it equal to...

12x+120=408

Isolate the variable...

12x+120=408
       -120   -120

12x=288

x=24

Thus, your answer.

Wall to wall, means area of the floor

408=carpet+instalation
408=carpet+120
minus 120 both sides
288=carpet

12 per square foot
288=12x
divide both sides by 12
24=x

she bought 24 square yards

solmaris [256]

Answer:

Answer for the question:

A trainee examined a set of experimental data to find comparisons that "look promising" and calculated a family of Bonferroni confidence intervals for these comparisons with a 90 percent family confidence coefficient. Upon being informed that the Bonferroni procedure is not applicable in this case because the comparisons had been suggested by the data, the trainee stated:"This makes no difference. I would use the same formulas for the point estimates and the estimated standard errors even if the comparisons were not suggested by the data."

Please disscuss.

Basically when you reflect something, you can think of it as a mirror, you flip it the opposite way.

Excuse my poor drawing skills, but I made a graph and a drawing of what I mean.

Write the equations, in slope-intercept form, of three different lines with a y-intercept of –5.
exis [7]
The slope intercept form has a general equation which is expressed as:

y = mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

The three equations with a y-intercept of –5 would be as follows:

y = 8x - 5
y = 3x - 5
y = -7x -5

The length of a rectangle is three times the width of the rectangle. The area of the rectangle is 48cm2. Draw the rectangle on t
Schach [20]

Answer:

The width is 4 cm

The length is 12 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle

Given a rectangle of width W and length L, its area is calculated as follows:

A=W\cdot L

The area of the given rectangle is 48 cm^2, and the length is three times the width, thus:

L = 3W

Substituting into the formula of the area:

W\cdot L=48

W\cdot 3W=48

Simplifying:

3W^2=48

Solving:

W^2=48/3=16

W=\sqrt{16}=4

The width is 4 cm. Find the length:

L=3W=3*4= 12

The length is 12 cm.

The image attached shows the rectangle on the centimeter grid
