Well, unlike the Articles of Confederation , the Consitution created the 3 branches of government; Legislative, executive, and judicial. Because the AOC lacked an executive branch, it could place taxes on the colonies to raise money for debt after the war. It also couldn't raise an army, something that the government can do with the Consitution. Also, unlike the AOC the Consitution gives the federal government more power over the states(federal vs states rights).
