A cone has a radius of 9 and a height of 22. What is the approximate volume of the cylinder? Round to the nearest tenth where ne
ryzh [129]

Answer

Answer: Volume = 9025.8 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

--------------------------------------------------------

Find Radius :

--------------------------------------------------------

Base area = πr²

169π = πr²

r² = 169

r = √169

r = 13 cm

--------------------------------------------------------

Find height :

--------------------------------------------------------

Height = 13 + 4

Height = 17 cm

--------------------------------------------------------

Find Volume :

--------------------------------------------------------

Volume = πr²h

Volume = π(13)²(17)

Volume = 9025.8 cm³

--------------------------------------------------------

Answer: Volume = 9025.8 cm³

Select the correct answer. What is the range of the function f(x) = -4\x+ 11 - 5? A. (-4,-5) B. [-5,-) OC. (-4,-) OD. (-2,-4] Re
Y_Kistochka [10]

We are given the following function:

f(x)=-4\lvert x+1\rvert-5

This function is equivalent to the function:

g(x)=-4\lvert x+1\rvert

Together with a translation 5 units in the negative direction of the "x" axis. Since the range of g(x) is all the values of "y" that are smaller or equal to zero, if we translate 5 units in the negative direction of the y-axis the range is:

R(f(x))=\mleft\lbrace y\parallel y\mright?\le5\rbrace

or in interval notation:

R(f(x))=(-\infty,-5\rbrack

ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

  • 9:00 AM

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Time in New York = noon =  12:00 PM
  • Time in Denver = 10:00 AM

Time difference = -2 hours

  • Train departs at 2:00 PM
  • Travel time = 45 hours

<u>Train arrival time:</u>

  • 2:00 PM + 45 hours = 2:00 PM - 3 hours (plus 2 days) = 11:00 AM

<u>Converting to Denver time:</u>

  • 11:00 AM - 2 hours = 9:00 AM
