We can solve this problem by the rule of three.

762.5 miles---------------------5 hours
x-----------------------------------3 hours

x=(762.5 miles x 3 hours) / 5 hours=457.5 miles.

Answer: this plane would travel in 3 hours 457.5 miles.

Other method:
We can calculate the plane´s speed.
speed=distance /time.

speed=762.5 miles/5 hours=152.5 miles /hour

distance= speed x time
distance=(152.5 miles/hour)(3 hours)=457.5 miles.

Answer: this plane would travel in 3 hours 457.5 miles.

Answer:

maximum area will be 1058 square yards

maximum height will be 81 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

P = 2L +2W

but in this case it will be P= L+2W and P=92 yards

L+2W = 92

Solve for L , L = 92-2W

The area of rectangle A = L x W

Plug in L and simplify: A = (92-2W)W =92W -2W²

Plot in your calculator  and  look for maximum so when the width is 23 yards maximum area will be 1058 square yards.

Second problems is the maximum height of the rocket. Maximum will be at the vertex of the upside-down parabola.

1) Which diagram shows the correct construction of a line parallel to line l and passing through point P?
kherson [118]

1)To construct a line parallel to line l and passing through point P our first step is to join the point and line and then draw angles in such a way so that corresponding angles are equal.

Option B is the correct construction of a line parallel to line l and passing through point P.

2) To Construct the perpendicular line to line DE at point F we cut an arc from point F  to line DE in such a way it cuts line DE at two points .From these two points we draw arcs which cut each other .

Option C is the correct option  to Construct the perpendicular line to line DE at point F.

3) To Construct a perpendicular from the given line segment that passes through the given point we cut two arcs on top and bottom of line segment.

Option B is the right answer.
