how did language spread from one proto-indo-european language to more than 6,000 languages we speak today?
amm1812

Answer:

We can thank geography for that. If you look at a map of Eurasia, you can see many massive mountain ranges and rivers, all of which separate early tribes apart. When one tribe is split apart for long enough, the people in each tribe develop their own distinct and unique identity, which also includes languages. There are several very interesting researches on this phenomenon online if you look deep enough and I do recommend you check them out, it's quite the fascinating read.

The spanish-american war was known as a (blank) because only 385 americans were
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

The Spanish American war was known as a splendid little war because only 385 Americans were killed in combat...etc

Explanation:

It was known as a splendid little war because America did not suffer horribly and they were at a strong advantage.

For the other options, it was the Spanish-American war but that is not what it was also known as. Yellow journalism was around but it was not a war of it. Additionally, this war was not the revolutionary war.

Hope this helps ;)
