Answer:

v=-8

Step-by-step explanation:

You first distribute.

(2*7v)+(2*-3)=-118

14v-6=-118

Then you add 6 on both sides of the equation so you cancel out the -6 and the equation becomes

14v=-112

then you divide 14 on both sides to get v by itself

14v/14= v

-112/14=-8

so you get v=-8

you can check if the answer is correct or not by plugging the v in.

Answer:

v=-8

Step-by-step explanation:

It seems you have started multi-step equations. Understanding multi-step equations is virtually fundamental to higher level mathematics.

Given:

2(7v-3)=-118

We are multiplying 2 by the whole expression (7v-3), so all you need to do is apply the distributive property. This means multiply 2 by 7v and -3. When we do that, we then get the following:

14v-6=-118

We want to solve for the value v, but that means we have to isolate it one one side of the equal sign. Do this by adding 6 to both sides. We then get:

14v = -112

Now, all we need to do is divide both sides by 14 to get v by itself. We then get:

v=-8

Each is a half of an apple, and there are 8 apples.

A factor is what you multiply.

So since there are 8 halves, you would do 8 x 1/2.

The answer to that equation is 4.

So that's how you get your answer, I hope this helps!

I need to find out how long it takes him to hit the water
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

1.26

Step-by-step explanation:

When he hits the water, the height will be 0. Substitute h=0.

0 = -16t^2+2t+23

Solve using the quadratic equation.

x = \frac{-b+/-\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}

Substitute a = -16, b=2, and c=23.

x = \frac{-b+/-\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}\\\\x = \frac{-2+/-\sqrt{(-2)^2-4(-16)(23)} }{2(-16)}\\\\x = \frac{-2+/-\sqrt{4+1472} }{-32}\\\\x = \frac{-2+/-\sqrt{1476} }{-32}\\x = \frac{-2+/-38.4}{-32}\\x = \frac{-2+38.4}{-32}=\frac{36.6}{-32}=-1.14\\or\\x = \frac{-2-38.4}{-32}=\frac{-40.4}{-32}=1.26

Since time in seconds must be positive then 1.26 is the solution.

Maslowich
So he would have to pay the first and last months rent so you would take 425*2=850. And then 50% of 425 would be 212.50. So all together he would be paying $1062.50 to move in. I hope this helps :)
