The formula for BMI is
BMI= kg/m^2

A BMI of 25.0 or more is overweight and a healthy and average BMI ranges from 18.5 to 24.9. However, BMI only applies to adults from 18-65 years old. You can always go online and search up BMI calculator and all you need to do is enter your weight and height.

It could be transmitted or spread by direct contact with hands, or medical equipment that has been contaminated.

<u>Guidelines regarding handling infectious material and equipment:</u>

  • The nurse should use disposable gloves and wash their hands with soap after caring for a person with VRE.
  • A disposable gown in case of washing or turning the patient, or changing diapers.
  • Using bleach or disinfectant to clean toilets and commodes.
  • Equipment should be assigned and used solely to the infected patient only.

Thus, the mentioned guidelines above should be used by the nurse for the VRE patient care.
