In three to five complete sentences, describe how the inhabitants of Mars felt about humans on earth. Use evidence from the text
Ksenya-84 [330]

The inhabitants of Mars felt that men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might.

What are the evidence from the text to support the argument?

The following are the evidence from the text are:

 • With infinite complacency men went to and fro over this globe about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire over matter.

 • Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.

 • That last stage of exhaustion, which to us is still incredibly remote, has become a present-day problem for the inhabitants of Mars.

Therefore, the inhabitants of Mars felt that humans on Earth are also curious about them.

White raven [17]

Answer:

The description of Usher's house leaves the text in a mood of melancholy, uncomfortable.

Explanation:

Usher's house is described in Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Fall of the House of Usher". The narrator's description of the house is far from pleasant. The house looks abandoned, dirty, inelegant and uncomfortable. The narrator of the story expresses a feeling of melancholy, discomfort and repudiation while describing the characteristics of the house. These feelings take over the text and make the narrative take on that mood.
