Answer:

Muslims give up meat and sweets during Lent each year.

Anyone who claims to be Muslim but does not make a pilgrimage to Mecca cannot achieve salvation.

Explanation:

Muslims do not give up meat and sweets during Lent and they can achieve salvation without Pilgrimage with a condition of financial instability and ill health.

There are five pillars of Islam:

1) Profession of Faith- Muslims profess their faith in God by reciting an arabic phrase which is central to Islam

2) Prayer- Muslims pray five times a day facing towards Mecca at dawn, noon, mid afternoon, sunset and after dark.

3) Alms- Muslims need to donate a fixed amount of money to help poor from their community.

4) Fasting- During Ramadan ( 9th month of Islamic calendar), Muslims observe fast. The are instructed to abstain from food and drink

5) Pilgrimage-  A Muslim with financial stability and proper health is instructed to go for at least one pilgrimage in his lifetime. However, they are exempted from the ritual if they cannot afford it or are not healthy enough to perform the pilgrimage. He can achieve salvation even without Pilgrimage but on the condition given.

just olya [345]

Answer:

I didn't listen to the files in your lesson, so let's list the information we have:

-song composed or performed in 1941
-song written (together with) Billy Strayhorn
-song by Duke Ellington

There is one such song, and it's "take the "A" train"  - I think this is the correct answer!
