It can show us (the readers) what the character is like, where he/she lives, what time they are alive, etc... it can help determine if the way a character is acting throughout the story would be normal during that time period

Can someone explain to me the easiest way to make a metaphor?
Ivan
Just think of two things that could be compared in an unusual way! A metaphor is just a comparison that doesn't use "like" or "as". For example, a simile would be "My love is like a rose" but a metaphor would be "My love is a rose" If you think of it this way, it might be easiest to think of a simile then take away "like" or "as". Be creative with it and have fun

How does the story of Mulan project a positive attitude toward the Chinese culture?
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

The story Mulan gives Chinese culture positive light in various ways. One example, being the obvious, an approch to equality. The legendary story had sexist  accusations which was the main obstacle for the chinnese woman. Later in the story she decides to dress up as a man in order to fill her destiny. This gives young Chinese girls inspiration that they can do just about anything despite their race or gender, which is just a singular example of how Mulan puts chinese culture in a positive light.
