<h3><u>Answer:</u></h3>

The increase in point's in stock are:

12 points.

<h3><u>Step-by-step explanation:</u></h3>

The price of a share of Arbor's stock increased from 24 1/2 to 36 1/2.

i.e. initial stocks were= 24 1/2

it is given in mixed fraction we will change this to improper fraction as:

24\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{24\times 2+1}{2}\\\\24\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{49}{2}

similarly the changed value of stocks is:36 1/2

On changing this mixed fraction value to improper fraction we get:

36\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{36\times 2+1}{2}\\\\36\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{73}{2}

Now, the change in the stock's value is:

\dfrac{73}{2}-\dfrac{49}{2}\\\\=\dfrac{73-49}{2}\\\\=\dfrac{24}{2}\\\\=12

Hence, the stock's increased by:

12 points.
