Karen should use company J.

Your questions asks which company is the best for Karen to choose.

Lets look at Company J first.

Company J charges a subscription fee of $30 per month plus $1 per hour of use.

Alright, Karen used 30 hours in one month, so we would have to add one dollar of an hour of use. So $1 + 30 would be $30. Now we add the other $30 because Company J charges a fee of $30 per month. $30 + $30 would be $60 in total for Company J.

Company K charges no monthly fee, but charges $2 for every hour of use.

Now, if Karen uses more than 30 hours a month, then $2 × 30 hours of use, that would be $60.

What would be the best Company to choose?

Remember, Karen uses more than 30 hours a month, I just took 30 for an example. I would say Company J is the best Company to choose.

Why?

Because Karen uses MORE than 30 hours a month, suppose it's 40, then Company J would charge 30 dollars fee per month plus 1 dollar per hour of use, which would be 40 + 30. In total that's 70 dollars per month.

Company K would Charge 2 dollars per every hour of use, and no monthly fee. So 2 × 40 would be 80 dollars per month.

Hope this helped!~

Which recursive formula can be used to determine the total amount of money earned for each successive hour worked based on the a
sveticcg [70]

Complete question is;

An electrician earns $110 after his first hour of working for a client. His total pay based on the number of hours worked can be represented using the sequence shown.

110, 130, 150, 170, ...

Which recursive formula can be used to determine the total amount of money earned for each successive hour worked based on the amount of money currently earned?

Answer:

The recursive formula can be expressed as; f(x + 1) = f(x) + 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Electrician earns $110 dollars after working for 1 hour.

We were told his total pay based on number of hours worked can be represented by: 110, 130, 150, 170...

This means that writing it down as a function, we can say;

f(1) = $110, f(2) = $130 e.t.c

Now,since we want to express a recursive formula to explain the question, then let's say after the 1 hour worked, he earned $110, then the hour after that, his total is $130,then the hour after that, his total is $150.

This means that he earns an additional $20 each hour.

Thus;

f(x + 1) = f(x) + 20

Where x is number of hours and f(x) is payment after x number of hours

The recursive formula can be expressed as; f(x + 1) = f(x) + 20

The sum of 5 consecutive odd numbers is 135 what is the second number in this sequence
hoa [83]

Step-by-step explanation:

x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) + (x + 8) = 135

5·x + 20 = 135

5·x = 115

x = 23

So the sequence is

23, 25, 27, 29, 31

The second number is 25.
