It's different because they're comparing two different ways

Example:

2 red apples, 5 apples in total- The ratio would be 2:5

5 green apples, 2 red apples- The ratio would be 5:2

I don't understand my own example but whatever.

What is the slope of the line represented by the data table?
djyliett [7]
A) Slope:    (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

You can use point  (-1, -6) and (0, -8)

Slope =    (-8 - -6) /(0 - -1) =   (-8+6)/(0+1) = -2/1  = -2.

Slope = -2.

b) Point (0, -8)  is the point such that  x = 0,  and y = -8, this point represents the vertical intercept  of the equation.  The point where the line cuts the y axis.

Find the following angle measures.<br><br> mEAD = <br> °<br><br><br> mCAB = <br> °
sergejj [24]

<u>Part 1)</u> Find m∠EAD

we know that

m∠EAD+m∠DAF+m∠BAF=180\° ----> by supplementary angles

solve for m∠EAD

m∠EAD=180\°-(m∠DAF+m∠BAF)

in this problem we have

m∠DAF=90\°

m∠BAF=61\°

substitute in the formula above

m∠EAD=180\°-90\°-61\°=29\°

therefore

<u>the answer part 1) is </u>

m∠EAD=29\°

<u>Part 2)</u>  Find m∠CAB

we know that

m∠CAB+m∠BAF=180\° --------> by supplementary angles

solve for m∠CAB

m∠CAB=180\°-m∠BAF

in this problem we have

m∠BAF=61\°

substitute in the formula above

m∠CAB=180\°-61\°=119\°

therefore

<u>the answer part 2) is</u>

m∠CAB=119\°
