Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

F(x) = x^2 + 10x + 24

Factor

( x+6) (x+4)

We have zeros at -6, -4

So the function crosses the x axis at -6 and -4

The vertex is 1/2 way between the zeros  so it is at -5

f(-5) = (-5+6) (-5+4) = 1 *-1 = -1 so the vertex is (-5,-1)

We know the parabola opens up

It has a y intercept of 24

The functions f(x) and g(x) are defined below.
madam [21]
Uh im not sure completely but ill try my best to help.

f(x)=x-16/(x+10)(x-4)
g(x)=1/x+10

Now find a common denominator. (x+10)(x-4) is a good one.

x-16/(x+10)(x-4)+x-4/(x+10)(x-4)
2x-20/(x+10)(x-4)

So I think the answer is 2(x-10)/(x+10)(x-4) and x≠-10 and x≠4

Thats the most you can factor it. Don’t try to cancel out the (x-10) and the (x+10)

Brainliest my answer if it helped you out?

The sum of the squares of 2 consecutive negative integers is 41. What are the numbers? Which of the following equations is the r
VARVARA [1.3K]
Answer:
The two numbers are -5 and -4

Explanation:
Assume that the first number is x and that the second number is x+1.
We know that the sum of their squares is 41. This means that:
x² + (x+1)² = 41

We will expand the brackets and factorize to get the value of x as follows:
x² + (x+1)² = 41
x² + x² + 2x + 1 = 41
2x² + 2x + 1 - 41 = 0
2x² + 2x - 40 = 0
We can divide all terms by 2 to simplify the equation:
x² + x - 20 = 0 ..........> equation required in part II

Now, we can factorize this equation to get the values of x:
x² + x - 20 = 0
(x-4)(x+5) = 0
either x = 4 .........> rejected because we know that x should be negative
or x = -5 ...........> accepted

Based on the above calculations, the two numbers are -5 and -4

Hope this helps :)
